So you think you are funny!

After the last lecture about comediens it is intresting to see how people take "jokes" in different ways and how jokes are often insulting in some form eg racist or sexist- for example it is prosumed that women are worse drivers than men, even though there is no eviedence of this!!

Alot of the time people find jokes funny when it does not relate to them, as no one likes having the joke on them! It is important to be able to laugh at yourself, and be able to take a joke.

Some comedians at times so abit to far and people may not know how to react especially when in large groups, and get slated by the media for this. A recent example of this was Johnathon Ross his bad jokes led him to being sacked. It is important to tell jokes in the correct context for their audiences. "Great comedy requires a nasty streak that pushes people out of their comfort zones." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/
